A Celebration of Life is a different kind of farewell — one that honours who someone was, not only that they are gone. The pipes fit this perfectly. They are emotional without being maudlin, traditional without being cold, powerful without overpowering the room.

I've played at Celebrations of Life across Vancouver, North Vancouver, and the Lower Mainland. I work with families and event organisers to get the timing and piece selection right. I treat every service with the care it deserves — because I know what it costs the people in that room.

What's the difference between a Celebration of Life and a funeral?

A Celebration of Life is typically less formal — held days or weeks after the death, often at a venue the deceased loved, and focused on celebrating the person's life rather than mourning their passing. The pipes work beautifully in this context: they can be joyful and elegiac at the same time.

Can you perform outdoors?

Yes. Many Celebrations of Life are held in parks, gardens, or at meaningful outdoor locations. I'm comfortable performing in all weather — I've played at outdoor services in everything Vancouver throws at us.

How much notice do you need?
